Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program
Here are some photographs with explanations of my trip to Japan with the Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program. I will only load approximately 5 pictures to a page. Please click on the link to the next set of photos.

Kagato Elementary School - grade 4 class serving lunch to peers.

They practice what we preach! In the back of the classrooms in Japan, they have a toothbrush box. Students take their toothbrush and brush their teeth after lunch.

These students are participating in their daily calligraphy class.

My host family and friends met us at the Imbe Train Station where we boarded a bus which would take us to the Shinkansen (bullet train) to head back to Tokyo. I presented them with the Rhode Island state flag the evening before when they invited all 20 of us back to their home. My host family was great! I am very happy to have had the honor to stay with them. :)

This is a grade 1 music class. The students each had an instrument and were playing a song.
