2010 RIAHPERD Scholarship Application
The Rhode Island Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance is offering stipends of up to $500 to qualified candidates residing in Rhode Island planning to enter the fields of health education, physical education, recreation, or dance. Health related curricula such as nursing, pre-medicine, physical therapy and occupational therapy do not qualify.
To apply please print out this application, complete it and provide the following:
A personal letter (typed and double spaced) addressing your philosophy of physical activity and wellness, awards and recognitions received, contributions made to the community to date, and your career goals.
Official transcript of course work. College transcripts should include spring 2010 course work. High school applicant's transcripts should include final class rank.
Three current letters of recommendation which may include health and physical education teachers, subject area teachers, or counselor, coach, and community leader.
